Since 2015, Hallein has been the Werner & Mertz centre of expertise for shoe care. Here, we produce shoe polish and leather care products to our own high ecological standards, with the trusted quality of the Erdal shoe care brand. This way, we consistently ensure our products remain effective, gentle and sustainable.And because we love nature, we work every day to protect it in our production. We do this through an energy-efficient circular economy that supports climate protection and preserves biodiversity.

Since 2005, our annual environmental statements have reported on the progress we’ve made in producing in an eco-friendly and resource-saving way. For us, sustainability rests on three pillars: economic, social and environmental. And EMAS – Europe’s most comprehensive and demanding environmental certification – proves we’re delivering on our promises.

Our state-certified EMAS accreditation proves we run a fully functional circular economy and are always striving to improve our environmental performance:
